This equipment adopts MJEPG compression format, it needs large network bandwidth, the narrow
bandwidth will affect the browse speed. The typical bandwidth uses situation as below:
640x480@10fps : 4.0 Megabits ~ 5.0 Megabits
320x240@30fps : 1.2 Megabits ~ 1.6 Megabits
2. Color difference ?
The default is infrared lens, when visit outdoor or strong infrared light scenes, there are
color differences, the color is not accordance to the real scenes. User can change it to color
lens to solve this problem, but color lens can only use under the daylight situation.
3. Can’t find equipment via search software after connect to LAN ?
Make sure the equipment and PC is in the same LAN; if install firewall software, please close
it and try again.
4. I Can find equipment via search software, but can’t visit ?
If the IP address of IP camera and PC is not in the same Network Segment, you should change
them on the same Network Segment as figure 1 before visit. Network Segment is the first three
number of IP address. If the IP address of PC is 192.168.1.89, so it can only visit the
equipment which IP address is between 192.168.1.1~192.168.1.255.
5. Can visit via public IP address, but can’t visit via manufacturer’s domain name ?
Make sure the DNS setting is same as your PC, as below Figure 2, in the search tool, the DNS 1
and DNS 2 on both side should be same.
6. Why is my camera's Live View delayed/skipping ?
If you are running other bandwidth-heavy tasks, such as downloads, peer-to-peer applications,
or audio/video streaming, this may cause the camera's video feed to be delayed. To improve
the quality of the video feed, close or stop any bandwidth-heavy applications when viewing
your camera's Live View. Your camera requires at least 256K of bandwidth to stream video
properly.
7. Does my camera support WPS ?
It supports WPS,you can operate as below.
Confirm if the router connected to camera supports WPS/QSS (you can check user manual of the
router or get the support from router factory);
Press WPS/QSS button on the router, it will launch the function.
Press and hold on reset button for 5 seconds after it ran normally(about 2 minutes, not need
to connect cable), it will launch the WPS/QSS function, then match the setting with the
router, after matching successfully, you can connect it to wireless router by WIFI.
8. My IP Camera Tool cannot find the camera’s IP, why ?
1.please check if your camera work normal or not; check the status of the lights on RJ-45,
network cable is good or not, the connection of network and power is good or not, whether
camera pan/tilt after power on (for indoor camera).
2.Whether your router enable DHCP function; if disable mac address filter;
3. Computer and camera in the same subnet or not; the firewall block the camera or not;
4. If you have another router, please plug the camera in it and try again;
5. If you tired all the above steps and still failed, please use a network cable connect the
camera and your computer directly, check if the ip camera tool can detect the camera or not;
9. I enable talk function, but there is no sound come from the speaker ?
1) Check if the microphone in computer used to talk turned on or not;
2) Make sure active the microphone icon in visitor UI;
3) Network speed is not so bad;
10. How to do port forwarding ?
If visit IP Camera from WAN, you must do port forwarding on the router.
Operation Steps:
After login the interface of the router, choose “Port Forwarding”
Choose “Add custom Service”
Input IP camera http port
Input IP address of IP camera, click “Apply”
After finishing the port forwarding, you can use WAN IP address of router and http port of
camera to visit the camera by remote computer as figure 6.
Notice: because the routers are different, so the interface and setting method of router are
also different, how to do the port forwarding for various routers, please refer to the user
manual of your router or consult with router manufacturer.
